Scalable Carbon-Based Materials for Carbon Dioxide Capture
Industrial development of sustainable and scalable capture materials with low price and high performance is one of the technological bottlenecks.
In this regard, the main aim of this proposal is to design and development of new and inexpensive capture materials to address the critical issues of scalability, sustainability, and energy efficiency providing a feasible method to capture CO2 at stationary point sources.
O1: To find optimum conditions for different types of reactions and prepare various novel compounds.
O2: To characterize the modified CB materials using a number of characterization techniques.
O3: Rigorous studies on the gas adsorption and light desorption of synthesized CB materials.
O4: To assess 3 or 4 modified CB materials with higher performance in order to scale up.
